Martine Hermans Frisvold developed since early 2014 a collection entitled ” Amplitude ” . Her idea is to create epidermal force – larger pieces that take possession of the space in order to give strength to the skin texture.
The skin regains its meaning and diversity in new proportions.
In early 2014,I got the desire to give my epidermal pieces more space, more strength and light. I develop a collection that I call "AMPLITUDE". My aim is to create epidermal pieces - SPACE - that take possession of the space in order to give strength the skin texture. The almost living texture seems to me to give itself freely and generously to the light. We see a mouth, a piece of wrist or arm; we see a leg, a navel and nipples. And ultimately I look at an immensity of small, regular, structured pores that draws us into the infinity of our existence in the very small which is immensely unlimited, everything is there, everything is said and also its opposite. These pieces of skin or body become doors to our infinity and allow us a new form of communication by giving a hand line to a loved one. Our infinity that we are allowed to share.
